INSTRUCTIONS FOR CLAIM OF PRIZE MONEY

Every winner/claimant should submit his/her claim in the prescribed form for all the Prizes exceeding ₹ 10,000/-, whether in a single ticket or in aggregate, to the Director, Nagaland, State Lotteries/Nodal Officer.

If the claim of any winner for prize money exceeding ₹ 10,000/-, whether in a single ticket or in aggregate value, is
presented before the Distributor vide this claim form or its distribution network (Including Sub Distributor, Area
Distributor, Stockists, Sub Stockists, Agents & Retailers), they should advise the claimant to submit the same to the
Office of the Nodal Officer/The Director, Nagaland State Lotteries.

The Name of the claimant, Postal Address, Contact Number, and Details of the Winning Ticket should be clearly visible, along with Pan Card, Aadhar Card, and Details of the Bank, along with a cancelled cheque, shall be enclosed with the Application form.

The Original ticket shall be enclosed with 3 passport-size photos & a photocopy of the documents duly attested by a
First-Class Magistrate/ Notary Public, along with an affidavit swearing to the ownership of the winning ticket. The Government, through its Director / Nodal Officer, shall not be responsible/ liable to pay for tickets lost in transit,
defaced, laminated, or mutilated.

Forged, fabricated, tampered, duplicated, altered, color copy, or printed outside the designated security printing press, Tickets purchased from any middlemen/ broker/thief or any other illegal manner, action shall be taken as per the court of law, and the person shall be available before the appropriate authority as and when called for.

The Director shall disburse the Prize Money after proper verification of the genuineness of the Lottery Ticket(s) and
deduction of all taxes liable. The Prize money shall only be paid in the form of RTGS/ Demand Draft, etc., after deducting the necessary commission/ charges as applicable.

Claimants within the State of Nagaland shall get the claim from the Directorate of Nagaland State Lotteries, and such
Payments shall be released after the production of all necessary documents as prescribed in the application form. The Directorate of State Lotteries, through its authorized Distributors or Representatives, shall publish the details of the prize winners in all types of media as a tool for marketing the lotteries of the State only after acceptance by
the concerned prize winner.

All claims shall be submitted with a complete application form and supporting documents to the Directorate/ Nodal
An officer within 30 days from the date of the draw published in its official gazette for further process.

  • ✅ Verify Your Ticket: Double-check that you have the original ticket and matches the official winning numbers for the correct draw date and time.
  • ✅ Contact the Lottery Office: Visit the nearest Nagaland State Lottery office or your State Nodal Office to claim the prize.
  • ✅ Required Documents: Must have required documents, including the Original winning ticket, a Valid photo ID proof (Aadhaar, Driving license, PAN, etc.), and Address proof (utility bill, voter ID, etc.).
  • ✅ Tax Deductions: Winnings amount may be subject to income tax as per government rules. For larger prizes, you can consult a tax advisor for guidance.

If your prize amount is up to ₹10,000, Lottery ticket distributors or authorized agents can make payments on behalf of the Nagaland State Government.

If your prize amount is more than ₹10,000, you will be required to submit the original winning ticket along with the required documents to the Director, Government of Nagaland, or your State Nodal Office. Please make sure that you complete the claim process within 30 days of the date of the draw.
